OUR STORY
OUR STORY
While the roots of our tailgate go back further, Tusk ’til Dawn found its permanent home in The Gardens in 2006. Since then, we’ve held down the same spot — no rotations, no relocations. Our striped Razorback flag, flying proudly out front, has become both a beacon for first-timers and a symbol for those who know exactly where they’re headed.
We’ve had visitors come and go, new faces join the fun, but our core crew remains the same — a group of die-hard Razorback fans bonded by food, tradition, and that one undeniable truth:
We got nowhere else to go.
A lifelong Razorback fan, Tommy is the heart and origin of Tusk ’til Dawn. What began as a family setup for his wife and son quickly became something bigger — thanks to his passion, energy, and dedication to the Razorbacks. He’s not one for social media and usually disappears when the local news cameras show up, but if you're lucky enough to catch him, he’s probably swapping stories with old friends and reliving the glory days.
“Remember when…” is how most conversations start with Tommy — and that’s the way we like it.
When Tommy returned to coaching and Robert moved away for college, Les took the reins. Already a longtime member, Les became the operational engine of the tailgate. He shows up early, hauls in the gear, fires up the grill, and makes sure the day runs smooth. Simply put, there is no tailgate without Les. If it’s hot, cold, or raining sideways — Les is still there, making it happen.
Tommy’s son, Robert, doesn’t know a life without Razorback tailgating. As a kid, he watched the trees near our site grow — and like those trees, he grew into the role of host, helper, and full-blown Razorback diehard. After college, Robert came back for good and has been a steady presence ever since. Whether he's adjusting the TV signal, helping Les man the grill, or welcoming new faces, he brings both heart and humor to game day.
